A dramatic and delicious Halloween punch with lime sherbet, pineapple juice, and lemon-lime soda, topped with dry ice for a bubbling fog effect. Perfect for any spooky occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 liter lemon-lime soda (chilled)
  • 4 cups pineapple juice (chilled)
  • 1 quart lime sherbet
  • 1 cup cold water
  • Green food coloring gel (optional)
  • Neon green food coloring (optional)
  • 12 pounds food-grade dry ice
  • Plastic spiders or gummy worms (optional)
  • Lime wheels (optional)
  • Edible glitter (optional)

Instructions

  1. Chill all ingredients (pineapple juice, lemon-lime soda, water) overnight or for a few hours. Keep sherbet in the freezer until ready.
  2. In a large pitcher, combine chilled pineapple juice, cold water, and lemon-lime soda. Stir gently. Add food coloring if desired, starting with one drop and adjusting to desired green hue.
  3. Pour the mixed base into a large punch bowl, leaving about one-third of the bowl empty.
  4. Scoop lime sherbet into the punch bowl in large dollops. Do not stir completely; let it float and melt naturally.
  5. Using tongs or thick gloves, break dry ice into golf ball-sized chunks (wrap in a towel and tap with a hammer if needed).
  6. Carefully drop a few chunks of dry ice into the punch bowl using tongs. Add more chunks every 15-20 minutes as fog dissipates.
  7. Garnish with plastic spiders, gummy worms, lime wheels, or edible glitter. Serve immediately, reminding guests not to consume dry ice.

Notes

Never handle dry ice with bare skin; use tongs or thick gloves. Do not seal dry ice in an airtight container. For kid-friendly version, omit dry ice or supervise closely. Keep extra sherbet on hand to refresh the punch as it thins.
