A theatrical, non-alcoholic Halloween punch featuring cranberry juice, cherry syrup, and lemon-lime soda, enhanced with dry ice for a spooky rolling fog effect.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 64 ounces (8 cups) Cranberry Juice (100% blend recommended)
  • 2 cups Cherry Syrup (or Grenadine)
  • 64 ounces (8 cups) Lemon-Lime Soda (clear soda like Sprite or 7UP)
  • 16 ounces (2 cups) Orange Juice
  • 23 pounds Dry Ice
  • Ice Cubes (optional)
  • Garnishes: Frozen berries, lemon slices, or plastic eyeballs

Instructions

  1. Put on thick gloves and break the dry ice block into baseball-sized chunks.
  2. In a large pitcher or bowl, combine the cranberry juice, orange juice, and cherry syrup. Stir well until the syrup is fully dissolved.
  3. Slowly pour in the lemon-lime soda and stir gently to combine without losing carbonation.
  4. If desired, chill the empty punch bowl in the freezer for 30 minutes before serving.
  5. Pour the mixed juice and soda into the punch bowl, leaving space at the top.
  6. Using tongs, carefully place dry ice chunks into the center of the punch.
  7. Wait 5-10 minutes for the fog to form and spill over the sides.
  8. Serve using a ladle, scooping from the sides to avoid dry ice chunks. Garnish as desired.

Notes

Never ingest dry ice as it can cause severe frostbite. Always handle with tongs and gloves. Do not use glass bowls as dry ice can cause thermal shock and shatter them. Serve in a well-ventilated area. The fog effect lasts 30-60 minutes.
