A quick and easy frozen virgin strawberry margarita with a salted rim, combining ripe strawberries, fresh lime juice, and a hint of sweetness for a refreshing, alcohol-free mocktail perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups frozen strawberries (if fresh, add 1 cup ice to keep it chilled and slushy)
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice (about 2 large limes), freshly squeezed
  • 2 tablespoons simple syrup (or agave syrup)
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • Coarse sea salt or kosher salt for rimming the glass
  • Lime wedges for wetting the glass rims
  • Optional: splash of orange juice or a pinch of chili powder for a subtle kick

Instructions

  1. Rub a lime wedge around the rim of each glass to moisten it. Then, dip the rim into coarse salt spread on a small plate. Set aside to dry slightly.
  2. In a blender, combine 2 cups frozen strawberries, 1/4 cup fresh lime juice, 2 tablespoons simple syrup, and 1/2 cup cold water. Blend on high until smooth and frosty, about 30-45 seconds. Add more water if needed to loosen consistency.
  3. Taste and adjust sweetness by adding more syrup if desired. Add a splash of orange juice if too tart and pulse again.
  4. Pour the frozen margarita into the prepared glasses. Garnish with a lime wedge or whole strawberry on the rim.
  5. Optional: Sprinkle a tiny pinch of chili powder on top or use chili-lime salt on the rim for a spicy twist.

Notes

Use frozen strawberries to keep the drink icy without diluting flavor. Fresh lime juice is essential for bright flavor. Blend in short bursts to avoid melting ice. Prepare salted rims before blending to allow salt to stick better. Store leftovers in freezer up to 24 hours and re-blend before serving.
