A refreshing, alcohol-free mojito mocktail featuring crisp cucumber, bright mint, fresh lime juice, and sparkling water. Perfect for hot days and quick to prepare.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 medium English cucumber, thinly sliced (about 1/8 inch thick)
  • 1012 large fresh mint leaves, washed and lightly bruised
  • Juice of 1 large lime (freshly squeezed)
  • 2 tablespoons simple syrup (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 cup (8 fl oz) sparkling water, chilled
  • Ice cubes as needed
  • Optional: lime wedges and mint sprigs for garnish

Instructions

  1. Wash cucumber and mint leaves thoroughly. Thinly slice the cucumber into rounds about 1/8 inch thick. Set aside 2-3 slices for garnish if desired.
  2. Place mint leaves and cucumber slices at the bottom of a glass. Add simple syrup and freshly squeezed lime juice. Gently muddle with a muddler or wooden spoon to bruise the mint and release cucumber juice without overdoing it.
  3. Fill the glass about halfway with ice cubes to chill the mixture.
  4. Slowly pour chilled sparkling water into the glass, filling it. Stir gently to combine flavors without flattening the fizz.
  5. Garnish with a lime wedge, a sprig of mint, and optionally a cucumber slice on the rim. Serve immediately.

Notes

Muddle gently to avoid bitterness from mint stems. Use fresh lime juice for best flavor. Keep sparkling water and glass chilled to maintain fizz. Adjust sweetness by adding more simple syrup or lime juice to taste. For sugar-free version, substitute simple syrup with stevia or erythritol syrup.
