These colorful fruit kabobs are a crowd-pleasing snack that’s quick to assemble and perfect for any occasion. The creamy honey yogurt dip adds a tangy-sweet finish that makes every bite feel like a treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound strawberries, hulled and halved if large
  • 2 large oranges, peeled and segmented (or 1 can mandarin oranges in juice, drained)
  • 2 cups fresh pineapple chunks
  • 45 kiwis, peeled and sliced into rounds or chunks
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup seedless purple grapes
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (full-fat or 2%)
  • 3 tablespoons honey, plus more to taste
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry all fruit thoroughly. Pat dry with paper towels.
  2. In a small bowl, combine Greek yogurt, honey, vanilla extract, lemon juice, and salt. Whisk until smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust sweetness. Cover and refrigerate while prepping fruit.
  3. Hull strawberries and slice larger ones in half. Leave tiny strawberries whole.
  4. If using fresh oranges, cut off top and bottom, slice off peel and pith, then cut between membranes to release segments. If using canned mandarins, drain and pat dry.
  5. Cut off top and bottom of pineapple, stand upright, slice off skin, and cut flesh into 1-inch chunks. Remove any eyes.
  6. Cut off both ends of kiwi, use a spoon to scoop flesh away from skin, then slice into rounds or chunks.
  7. Rinse and dry blueberries and grapes. Leave grapes whole or halve for young children.
  8. Thread fruit onto wooden skewers in rainbow order: red (strawberries), orange (oranges), yellow (pineapple), green (kiwi), blue (blueberries), purple (grapes). Leave about 1 inch at bottom for handling. Use 2-3 pieces of each color per skewer.
  9. Arrange finished kabobs on a large platter in rows or a fan pattern. Place bowl of honey yogurt dip in center or at one end.
  10. Serve immediately or refrigerate loosely covered for up to 2 hours.

Notes

Use fruit that is ripe but still firm to prevent sliding off skewers. Dry fruit thoroughly before threading to avoid watery dip. For best flavor, let dip sit for at least 10 minutes before serving. Brush cut fruit with lemon juice to prevent browning if making ahead. Do not overload skewers; 5-6 pieces per skewer is ideal.
