A quick and easy weeknight dinner featuring juicy pork chops coated in a sticky, sweet, and savory honey garlic glaze. Ready in under 30 minutes with simple pantry ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, center-cut pork chops (about 1-inch thick)
  • 1–2 tablespoons olive oil (or neutral oil)
  • 4–5 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
  • Salt, to taste
  • Optional: Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels and season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, rice vinegar, and cornstarch until smooth and lump-free.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet (preferably cast iron or heavy-bottomed) over medium-high heat.
  4. Add pork chops to the skillet in a single layer (do not crowd). Sear for 3-4 minutes on the first side until golden brown.
  5. Flip the chops and cook for another 3-4 minutes until internal temperature reaches approximately 125°F.
  6. Reduce heat to medium and pour the glaze mixture over the pork chops.
  7. Spoon the sauce over the chops repeatedly as it bubbles and thickens, cooking for 2-3 minutes until the sauce is glossy and sticky.
  8. Ensure pork reaches an internal temperature of 145°F.
  9. Remove chops from the pan and let rest for 5 minutes before serving, spooning any remaining sauce over the top.

Notes

Do not overcook pork chops; they should reach 145°F. If the sauce thickens too quickly, add a teaspoon of water. For a spicy kick, add chili flakes or sriracha. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheated gently in a skillet with a splash of water.
