  • 2 tablespoons red onion, minced (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 12 mini slider buns or dinner rolls

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken: shred or dice about 2 cups (300g) of cooked chicken breast. Rotisserie chicken works well. (5 minutes)
  2. Chop the veggies and herbs: finely dice ½ cup (50g) celery, 2 tablespoons red onion (optional), and 1 tablespoon fresh dill. (5 minutes)
  3. Make the creamy dressing: in a medium bowl, combine ½ cup (120g) small-curd cottage cheese, ¼ cup (60ml) mayonnaise, and 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard. Whisk until smooth and creamy.
  4. Mix salad components: gently fold the chicken, celery, onion, and dill into the dressing. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Adjust mayo or mustard if desired. (2 minutes)
  5. Prepare slider buns: slice 12 mini buns horizontally. Toasting is optional. (2 minutes)
  6. Assemble sliders: spoon a generous amount of chicken salad onto the bottom half of each bun, top with the other half, and arrange on a serving platter. (3 minutes)
  7. Chill or serve immediately: serve right away or cover and refrigerate for up to 2 hours before serving.
