Make your own Starbucks-inspired Pumpkin Cream Cold Foam Coffee at home in just 5 minutes. This easy recipe saves money and tastes just like the real thing with a thick, fluffy pumpkin-spiced foam.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee or cold brew
  • 1 cup ice
  • 2 tablespoons milk (whole or 2%)
  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon pumpkin puree (100% pure, not pie filling)
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 splash vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cream cheese, softened (optional, for extra stability)

Instructions

  1. Fill a glass with ice and pour in the strong brewed coffee or cold brew, leaving about 2 inches of space at the top for the foam.
  2. In a small bowl or wide-mouth mason jar, combine the milk, heavy cream, pumpkin puree, powdered sugar, pumpkin pie spice, vanilla extract, and cream cheese (if using).
  3. Use a handheld milk frother to blend the mixture, moving it up and down to incorporate air, until it doubles in volume and becomes thick and pourable (about 45-60 seconds). Alternatively, use a French press by pumping the plunger vigorously for 30-45 seconds.
  4. Check the consistency: the foam should hold its shape for a few seconds. If too runny, add more heavy cream and froth again; if too thick, add a splash more milk.
  5. Carefully spoon or pour the pumpkin cream foam over the back of a spoon onto the top of the iced coffee to help it float.
  6. Dust the top with a pinch of pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon.
  7. Serve immediately. Stir gently if desired, or sip through the foam.

Notes

For best results, use very cold milk and cream. The foam is best fresh and will start to deflate after 10-15 minutes. If the foam sinks, your coffee may be too watery—use a stronger brew or less ice. The optional cream cheese adds a tangy stability that mimics the Starbucks version.
