Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup (45g) rolled oats (old-fashioned)
  • 2 tbsp (32g) natural creamy peanut butter
  • 1 tbsp (5g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup (60g) plain Greek yogurt
  • 3/4 cup (180ml) milk (dairy or plant-based, unsweetened almond or oat milk recommended)
  • 1 scoop (about 30g) vanilla protein powder (whey or plant-based)
  • 1 tsp (5g) chia seeds (optional)
  • 1 tsp (7g) honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Add 1/2 cup (45g) rolled oats into a jar or container.
  2. Spoon in 2 tablespoons (32g) of creamy peanut butter and 1 tablespoon (5g) of unsweetened cocoa powder.
  3. Add 1/4 cup (60g) of plain Greek yogurt to the jar.
  4. Pour in 3/4 cup (180ml) of your preferred milk.
  5. Scoop in 1 scoop (about 30g) of vanilla protein powder and stir well to avoid clumps.
  6. Optionally stir in 1 teaspoon (5g) chia seeds and 1 teaspoon (7g) honey or maple syrup.
  7. Add a pinch of salt.
  8. Stir everything thoroughly until evenly blended with no dry pockets or clumps.
  9. Seal the jar tightly and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight.
  10. In the morning, stir the oats again and add a splash of milk if too thick.
  11. Optionally top with sliced bananas, dark chocolate chips, or chopped nuts before serving.

Notes

Use old-fashioned rolled oats for best texture; avoid instant oats. Natural peanut butter with some oil separation works best. Stir well to avoid protein powder clumps. Adjust milk amount for preferred thickness. Soak at least 6 hours, up to 12 hours. Store leftovers in fridge up to 3 days; do not freeze. For vegan version, use plant-based protein powder, coconut yogurt, plant milk, and maple syrup instead of honey.
