A visually stunning and delicious buffalo chicken dip featuring a creamy cream cheese base and spicy chicken topping, decorated with a spiderweb design. Perfect for Halloween parties or game day gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces full-fat cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1.5 cups cooked, shredded chicken (rotisserie or boiled)
  • 1/2 cup creamy blue cheese dressing
  • 1/3 cup Frank’s RedHot or favorite buffalo wing sauce
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 stalks green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a small, round baking dish or pie plate.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and blue cheese dressing. Mix until completely smooth and lump-free.
  3. In a second bowl, toss the shredded chicken with the hot sauce and half of the shredded cheddar cheese until evenly coated.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form the base layer.
  5. Spread the buffalo chicken mixture over the cream cheese layer, ensuring distinct layers without mixing them.
  6. Using a toothpick or the back of a small spoon, drag from the center outward toward the edge 6-8 times, rotating the dish slightly each time. Then, drag in a circular motion around the center to connect the lines and form a web pattern.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Let cool for 5 minutes to set slightly, then garnish with chopped green onions.
  10. Serve warm with tortilla chips, celery sticks, or crusty bread.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is fully softened to room temperature to avoid lumps and ensure the web design holds. Pat shredded chicken dry with paper towels to prevent the dip from becoming soupy. For a mild version, swap hot sauce for ranch or mild buffalo sauce. For a vegetarian option, substitute chicken with sautéed mushrooms or cauliflower.
