A rich and indulgent cocktail blending silky chocolate, tart cherry, and smooth vodka, perfect for special nights and celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz (60 ml) vodka
  • 1 oz (30 ml) cherry liqueur (e.g., Cherry Heering)
  • 1 oz (30 ml) dark chocolate syrup
  • 23 fresh maraschino cherries for garnish
  • 1/4 tsp almond extract (optional)
  • 1 oz (30 ml) heavy cream or half-and-half (use dairy-free cream if preferred)
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Chill your martini glass in the freezer for at least 10 minutes.
  2. Measure out vodka, cherry liqueur, dark chocolate syrup, heavy cream, and almond extract.
  3. Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice cubes.
  4. Pour vodka, cherry liqueur, chocolate syrup, cream, and almond extract into the shaker over the ice.
  5. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 20 seconds until the shaker frosts up.
  6. Strain the cocktail through the shaker’s built-in strainer into the chilled martini glass.
  7. Skewer 2-3 maraschino cherries on a cocktail pick and rest it across the rim of the glass.
  8. Optionally, drizzle a little chocolate syrup inside the glass before pouring for a swirl effect.
  9. Serve immediately while cold and silky smooth.

Notes

Use fresh, cold ingredients for best texture and taste. Do not over-shake to avoid cream separation. Use high-quality cherry liqueur and dark chocolate syrup for authentic flavor. Chill the glass beforehand. Adjust sweetness by reducing chocolate syrup if desired. Experiment with garnishes like orange peel or sea salt for contrast. Strain well to avoid cherry bits in the drink.
