  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the sausage: Heat your skillet over medium heat. Add the sausage and break it apart with a spatula. Cook for about 7-10 minutes or until browned and no pink remains. Drain excess fat if needed.
  3. Mix the filling: In a bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Stir until smooth and well blended. Add the cooked sausage and mix until evenly distributed.
  4. Prepare crescent dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough on a clean surface. Separate into triangles along the perforations.
  5. Assemble crescents: Spoon about 1 tablespoon (15 g) of the sausage cream cheese mixture onto the wide end of each crescent triangle. Roll the dough starting from the wide end toward the tip, gently tucking in the filling.
  6. Place crescents on baking sheet: Arrange them seam-side down, spaced about 1 inch (2.5 cm) apart.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes until crescents are golden brown and crisp.
  8. Cool slightly before serving: Let them rest 5 minutes on the rack to help the cheese set.
