Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together 2 cups all-purpose flour, 2 teaspoons baking powder, 1/4 cup granulated sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
  2. In another bowl, beat 2 large eggs and add 3/4 cup room temperature milk, 4 tablespoons melted unsalted butter, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
  3. Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring gently with a spatula until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
  4. If using a donut pan, lightly grease it and spoon the batter evenly into each cavity, filling about 3/4 full. If shaping by hand, spoon batter onto parchment paper and gently form into rings about 3 inches in diameter.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 3 minutes.
  6. Lightly brush the top of each donut with vegetable oil.
