A quick and easy no-bake dessert featuring layers of crushed Oreos, creamy pudding, and a luscious cream cheese mixture. Perfect for potlucks, family gatherings, or a nostalgic sweet treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 36 Oreo Cookies, crushed into chunks
  • 1 package (3.9 oz / 110g) instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 3 1/4 cups (770 ml) milk (whole or 2%)
  • 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup (115g) butter, softened
  • 1 cup (120g) powdered sugar
  • 2 cups (480ml) whipped topping, thawed (e.g., Cool Whip)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pudding: In a large bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and 3 1/4 cups (770 ml) of cold milk until thickened (about 2 minutes). Set aside.
  2. Make the cream cheese mixture: In another large bowl, beat 8 oz (225g) softened cream cheese and 1/2 cup (115g) softened butter together with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy (2-3 minutes). Slowly add 1 cup (120g) powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and continue beating until fully combined and fluffy.
  3. Fold in the whipped topping: Gently fold 2 cups (480ml) of thawed whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture using a spatula, keeping it light and airy.
  4. Layer the dirt cake: In a 9×13-inch (23×33 cm) dish, spread a thin layer of the cream cheese mixture on the bottom. Sprinkle a generous layer of crushed Oreos over it. Spoon a layer of chocolate pudding over the Oreos, smoothing gently. Repeat layers ending with a layer of Oreos on top.
  5. Chill the dessert: Cover the dish with plastic wrap or foil and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  6. Serve: Scoop into bowls or slices and enjoy. Optionally garnish with extra crushed Oreos or whipped topping.

Notes

For gluten-free, use gluten-free chocolate sandwich cookies. For dairy-free, substitute dairy-free cream cheese and coconut whipped topping, and use dairy-free pudding made with almond or coconut milk. Crush Oreos by hand or with a rolling pin for varied chunk sizes. Chill overnight for best texture and flavor. Fold whipped topping gently to keep it airy.
